Graeme Obree

Graeme Obree now lives in Saltcoats on the Ayrshire coast and spends his time writing, working in media or as a speaker. To this day a passionate advocate for Cycling, Graeme launched the inaugural Graeme Obree Ayrshire Sportive in 2011 with the follow up event scheduled for 29th July 2012.

Graeme is a prolific writer and recently published, The Obree Way, A training manual for cyclists. This manual condenses Graeme's learning across a career in cycling. Written more like a novel than a traditional training manual, The Obree Way provides an comprehensive and easy to read guide to anyone looking to learn about cycling and athletic performance in relation to their own desire to improve.

Graeme is an inspiring speaker with a unique story to relate. He has recently addressed audiences at The Royal Geographic Society and The Engineering Club and spends much time addressing cycling clubs and delivering an insight behind his drive to overcome the odds and become a celebrated cycling twice World 4000m Champion and of course twice World Hour Record holder.
