There is no one else quite like Graeme Obree. Graeme did it his way, no compromise, just utter dedication to his journey as an athlete. No coaches, no bike suppliers, no nutritionist, only Graeme Obree. Graeme Obree and some assembled pieces of bike tubing - becoming 'Old Faithful'.

Graeme Obree, obsessive about how to make a bike go faster, studying the forces acting upon him and innovating, not content to just take what is already there. And boy did it show that he has something totally, utterly original, unique almost beyond comparison.

The Flying Scotsman has grabbed the attention of a global audience. The young lad from Ayrshire who had the audacity to challenge the crusty, conventional domination of a sport hidebound with convention, dominated by ridiculous, short sited, self serving individuals who tried to wrap, no, suffocate Graeme Obree in red tape.

They almost succeeded; they got close but not close enough. You see this is akin to the legend of the rabbit and the hare. Those officials managed to put sticks in the spokes of Graeme's career, maybe they buckled a wheel or two, but they never broke the man.

IN FACT THEY HELPED DEINE THE MAN. Unwitting collaborators to the story that could not have been made up.( Thanks in particular to the Mr Been of the UCI - guess who?) Today Graeme Obree can recount the story, the extraordinary challenges he has faced down, the monumental issues he has had to overcome on route to understanding life's journey for him. The story is electric, passionate, different, funny, challenging, thought provoking. The story is Graeme Obree, an individual, a legend, a truly original thinker who will challenge your thinking.
